Vote For Charity

The Carter Center Wins First Round!

As a Christian, I believe in tithing. Since my new book is about what the Ten Commandments have to say to today's social issues, I want to tithe my book sales to charity. My tithe from Blowing The Lid Off The God-Box is going to my local church. But for God's Top 10 I wanted to reach out farther.

But there are so many wonderful charities that are hard at work to help make the world a better place! That's where you come in. I've selected ten charities, all of which have a four-star rating at Charity Navigator. Vote for the one you think should get the money. At the end of each royalty period (approximately every six months) I will send the tithe of that royalty check to the charity you have selected. Once a charity has received a check, that charity will come off the list and a new one will take its place. The Carter Center won the first round, so it came off the list and Habitat for Humanity took its place. I also removed those charities that received ten or fewer votes the last time.

So, get the word out and make a difference by casting your vote. Of course if you buy the book, you will have helped twice! If you would like to donate matching funds, please e-mail me and let me know what you would like to do. I will include your name or your company name on a benefactors page.

If you want to find out more about any of the charities listed, go to Charity Navigator.
